type development based off of branding for american eagle's new kids line, 77kids. the project entailed redrawing type based off the branding in 2 versions - a straightfoward clean version, and a handdrawn scratched out version. the goal was to evoke a sophisticated yet still playful reflection of childhood.

under the creative direction of brian franks and steve green at 77kids. typeface developed in conjunction with matt desmond, who additionally did an amazing job engineering the final font files. check out his site for many more amazing works.
